BookIPs started with rights, built the platform for trade and use, and now extends educational content into data that can be used again.

For good educational content to reach the places that need it, the terms of legitimate use must be clear. BookIPs began by verifying publisher and rightsholder content and designing the scope in which it can be used.

MILESTONES
Products, partnerships, and research have moved in the same direction.
BookIPs began on December 23, 2020 to connect the IP of educational content.
Raised KRW 350M in Seed funding from Primer and Primer Sazze. Won the Space Salim Demo Day and the Seoul Metropolitan Mayor’s Award.
Raised KRW 1.3B in Pre-A funding and was selected for TIPS. Started content-use agreements with major publishers.
Raised KRW 5.8B in Series A funding. Signed a Goodnotes digital textbook distribution agreement and began the UCI support program.
Supplied platform content and questions for the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education. Completed TIPS with distinction and signed MOUs with Goodnotes and the Korean Association of University Presses.
Supplied educational content data for AI learning with Crowdworks and Selectstar. Raised a Series A bridge round; was selected as an outstanding Post-TIPS project and an AI Voucher supplier; continued the UCI program for a third year.
Supplied platform content and questions for the Jeonnam Office of Education. The paper ‘Retrieval-Augmented Instruction Tuning for Low-Resource Language Model Training’ was published by IEEE.
